I’ve got really into taking supplements since I’ve been here. They’re not that crazy – they all sound like kids’ ones because I love easy stuff. I use a multivitamin that’s called Smarty Pants that’s got everything in it. My sister got me into them and they’re chewable, which reminds me of growing up. They taste really good. I’m anaemic so I also take Spatone Iron Sachets and Neo Cells Super Collagen which you mix with water. My sister claims it can make your boobs bigger [laughs], but for me it’s just about treating my eczema-prone skin. It’s helped with that.
On the new Bleach salon in LA
It’s very cool – it’s Alex [Brownsell’s] vision and it comes from her love of ASMR. We’ll be bringing our Dalston salon to Hollywood. You come into the shop from the point of view of the hair itself – we’re having a sound bar that will feature the sounds of hair getting cut, washed and snipped.
On experimenting with hair colour
At the British Fashion Awards in 2018.
Samir HusseinI’ve been waiting to be the first person in the [Bleach LA] chair. I have balayage right now because during Covid I was growing out my hair and cut it all off myself. I wanted to start afresh after lots of work and give it a break. It worked out quite well because it’s grown a lot. One of my favourite colours in the past was pink for the British Fashion Awards – I wore a pink Mulberry suit with it and it was a lot, but just the right amount. I think I’m going to try a new colour that hasn’t come out yet, which is a pearly pink-purple. That, or a red dip dye with balayage. Alex and I are working on it.
